Here’s your Japanese language lesson of the day: Chisai Benjo ‘Small Toilet’ (小さい便所)
This photo won the Most Bizarre award at The 49th International Conference on Electron, Ion and Photo Beam Technology and Nanofabrication Bizarre/Beautiful Micrograph Contest. Takahashi Kaito took this SEM, a Scanning Electron Micrograph, of integrated circuit fabrication at 15,000X magnification using an electron microscope while on the job at SII Nanotechnology Inc, Oyama, Shizuoka, Japan.

Take a Seat… on the Toilet Bowl
These public seats are installed outside the toilets in the Fashion Lady underground mall, one of the top shopping attractions in eastern China’s Nanjing city. Although they are meant for those queuing up to answer nature’s call, many shoppers seem too embarrassed to sit on the bowls. One student said that she would not sit there, as it would look too much like the real thing. No mention of whether the toilet bowls were new or recycled ones!
